Advance CTE Announces New Board Leadership

SILVER SPRING, MD – July 1, 2021 – Today, Advance CTE is pleased to announce its 2021-2022 Board of Director leadership, including the election of a new Board President.

“I am honored to serve as Advance CTE’s Board President. Career Technical Education (CTE) is in its strongest position in decades to lead the national conversation on efforts to provide learners and workers the skills to meet the workforce needs of the future. State leaders have an important responsibility to deliver high-quality CTE programs that enable students and workers to discover their passion in a rewarding career. In Oklahoma, CareerTech expanded its programs amid the pandemic to help close the skills gap for employees and employers. I look forward to working with Advance CTE and ensuring all CTE leaders have the tools and support to produce meaningful results for their states,” said Dr. Marcie Mack, State CTE Director, Oklahoma CareerTech.

The FY22 Executive Committee includes:

  • Vice President: Ms. Laura Scheibe, State CTE Director, South Dakota Department of Education;
  • Secretary/Treasurer: Ms. Angel Malone, State CTE Director, Office of Career and Technical Education, South Carolina Department of Education; and

The Board’s expert counsel, time and commitment to equity and learner-centered leadership will be especially valuable in challenging the status quo, disrupting systemic inequities and ensuring we build a system that truly offers learners CTE without limits,” said Kimberly Green, Executive Director, Advance CTE.
