•Creating a navigator for industry partners,

•Key characteristics of productive partnerships, and

•Practical steps for building relationships between colleges and industries.

College-based industry liaisons can serve as the point of contact for industry partnerships and streamline coordination between the industry and the college. They can also help identify and anticipate the labor needs of local industries, ensuring that program content is tailored to prepare learners for the industries of tomorrow.

The toolkit also identified immediate action steps community college leaders can take to forge new relationships with industry partners.
