Earning to Learn: How America's Work Colleges Are Bridging Equity Gaps and Connecting Education to Employment

Work colleges, which are a part of the federal work study program overseen by the US Department of Education, combine foundational liberal arts education with real work experience at a typically low cost to students and can offer pathways for traditionally underserved populations through higher edcuation. This report from the American Enterprise Institute examines the role work colleges play in bridging equity gaps, discusses outcomes associated with the work college model, and provides reccomendations to help educational institutions and other stakeholders design a successful work college.
