Growing Equity and Diversity Through Apprenticeship

The number of apprenticeships in the United States has increased by more than 200,000 since 2015. Businesses in a growing number of industries recognize that apprenticeship represents an effective alternative to traditional approaches of attracting, preparing and upskilling talent. However, expanding apprenticeship into new sectors involves challenges, such as the need to overcome and change traditional perceptions of apprenticeship while also developing alternative ways to support the design and delivery of training programs, and promoting diversity and inclusion for nontraditonal and underrepresented populations.
