Measuring Nondegree Credential Attainment: A 101 Guide for States

While many states have a statewide postsecondary credential attainment goal and have methods to measure degree attainment, many states still struggle to measure the attainment of nondegree credentials. This guide is a useful resource for state leaders looking to improve credential attainment measurement in their states and provides step-by-step instructions for measuring nondegree credentials using student-level administrative data and recommends issues states can think about as they measure nondegree attainment.
