As an operations and administrative associate, Shamari brings a strong foundation in program coordination, operational support, and higher education advocacy. Prior to this role, she served as a program coordinator, managing national meetings in hematology and conservation, as well as supporting internship initiatives across the country. She has had a longstanding commitment to access and success within education, with extensive experience supporting grant-funded programs that promote the success of first-generation college students, Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, and student support services.

With a background rooted in higher education, Shamari’s work has focused on streamlining operations, fostering inclusive learning environments, and enhancing program effectiveness. She holds a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she developed a critical understanding of social structures, history, and policy—an academic perspective that continues to inform her work in operations and learner-focused programming.
