This webinar series from ACTE and Advance CTE focuses on strategies to support the nine learner groups identified as special populations under Perkins V as well as emerging populations that may need additional support. Join state and local CTE leaders as they discuss common challenges and promising solutions across data collection and analysis; cross-sector collaboration; wraparound supports; instructional supports; flexible and accelerated learning policies; and career exploration and planning.
The third webinar in this series addressed wraparound supports for special populations. Speakers from ACTE, Advance CTE, the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission and Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in Massachusetts shared state and local examples for helping CTE special populations through support services like transportation, childcare, ensuring learners can meet their basic needs, mentoring and more.
