Senior Director of Operations

As the senior director of operations, Ada Ejiogu oversees Advance CTE’s operations and financial strategies, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and grounded in principles of equity, inclusion, and compliance. Her focus is to ensure that the organization is positioned for growth and impact in promoting high-quality career pathways at the intersection of education and work.

Prior to joining Advance CTE, Ada had over two decades of experience and expertise in leading operations and project management of large and complex global health and international development programs and partnerships in over 30 countries at the Population Council, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Columbia University’s’ ICAP, and the Ford Foundation. She has held several program leadership and management roles, supported, trained, and managed teams across several countries, developed and implemented partnership models, and engaged with donors and host governments on different projects.

As a director of operations at the Population Council, she led the strategy and operations of a large global social and behavior change research project consortium focused on a range of thematic areas, and oversaw a large portfolio of research activities and funding ensuring completion on time, on budget, and in compliance. She established project offices, operational systems, policies, and procedures for the effective implementation of programs. She played a pivotal role in engaging and managing innovative partnerships to effectively build and leverage resources to increase the access, quantity, and quality of services provided to underserved and at-risk populations.

Ada has always been passionate about improving equity and access to impact lives positively. She actively supported and successfully led the design and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion enterprise-level initiatives and other significant efforts to update institutional strategic plans, strengthen talent management and retention, and improve policies and processes.

Ada holds a law degree and a master’s degree in business administration and has a master’s degree in public administration and a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University, New York. She is also a certified project management professional.
