Policy Associate

As a policy associate, Janeva researches and develops resources highlighting promising practices that support the implementation of high-quality Career Technical Education (CTE) and assists in implementing the National Career Clusters® Framework through member support, publications, and other tools. Born and raised in North Carolina, Janeva earned her bachelor’s in Psychology from Winston-Salem State University, an HBCU. Following undergrad, she earned her master’s in Educational Policy and Planning from the University of Texas at Austin. Before joining Advance CTE, Janeva interned at Education Strategy Group with the Career Readiness Portfolio, where she conducted a qualitative research study exploring the persistence and completion of high-quality pathways. During her graduate studies, she was involved in education coalitions in Texas. She also worked with an educational nonprofit to support a policy implementation strategy for recently enacted statewide legislation.) Janeva is passionate about expanding opportunity, access, and success for all learners, particularly learners of color.
