As the associate director of data strategy, Jessica leads Advance CTE’s data quality and initiatives to promote data-driven decision making among state leaders. She provides technical assistance to support states’ data collection, validation, and use to make informed programmatic decisions and expand access to high-quality career preparation for all learners.

Prior to joining Advance CTE, Jessica worked at the American Institutes for Research providing technical assistance to state education agencies on strengthening data systems, career pathways, and assessing student learning from work-based learning experiences. Jessica designed data visualization tools to help state leaders align CTE programs to labor market needs, identify talent pipeline opportunities, and strengthen work-based learning. 

Jessica is originally from northwest Ohio and holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Ohio University, along with a project management certification from the Project Management Institute. Now based in the Washington, DC area, she spends her free time exploring new beaches, dancing, and occasionally winning karaoke competitions.
