Anthony Mark Gray Jr., known to colleagues and friends as Mark, is a dedicated scholar and professional currently pursuing a doctorate in education at Old Dominion University, focusing on workforce and organizational development. Mark holds a Master of Science in Occupational Health and Safety from East Carolina University and a Master of Business Administration in Management from the University of Phoenix. Mark’s teaching experience at Dunwoody College of Technology spans various subjects, including construction safety and managerial economics. His research interests center on breaking language barriers to create safe working spaces for non-native speakers. This passion has led Mark to co-author a book chapter on Universal Design for Learners in the construction industry, addressing breaking ground and language barriers. Mark has also explored innovative uses of e-sports for skill development, presenting at numerous conferences and publishing several works on this topic. As an active member of professional organizations such as the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), Mark serves as the safety director for the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Mark’s career is dedicated to advancing education and improving organizational practices.
