As membership associate, Vicki actively supports member engagement initiatives, working to build strong connections across state and local education agencies. She contributes to strategic communications, promotes resource sharing, and facilitates collaborative opportunities that advance the organization’s mission to support high-quality Career Technical Education (CTE) nationwide. Her deep understanding of state policy, instructional practices, and collaborative leadership directly informs her efforts to foster meaningful engagement among Advance CTE’s members.
Vicki brings over 20 years of experience as a passionate educator, literacy advocate, and systems-level leader in early childhood and K-12 education. Prior to joining Advance CTE, Vicki served as a dyslexia specialist, leading the work of the Ohio Dyslexia Committee and supporting the development and implementation of the state’s comprehensive literacy policies and initiatives at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Vicki holds a Master of Arts degree in Integrated Teaching and Learning from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Toledo. Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to improving learner outcomes through inclusive, research-informed practices and cross-sector partnerships.
In her free time, Vicki enjoys reading, hiking, and watching college football. She lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband, son, and a pup named Cosmo. Go Bucks!
