Postsecondary education is now a requirement to access high-wage, high-skill, in-demand jobs. Each learners’ postsecondary path looks different, with some learners’ paths culminating in non-degree credentials. However, not every non-degree credential will lead to high-wage, high-skill, in-demand jobs. To help state leaders identify non-degree credentials of value, this toolkit from Education Strategy Group provides a set of resources to help states set thresholds for high-quality credentials and access appropriate data on student outcomes.
