This engaging activity helps learners reflect on what they enjoy doing, what they’re good at, and the real-world problems they want to solve. Their responses point them toward Career Clusters—broad categories of careers that match their interests and self-identified strengths.
This survey is recommended for instructor-facilitated activities for learners in grades 4 to 8, and as a self-facilitated independent activity for learners in high school and beyond, with the following applications:
- Early career exploration
- Program advising
- Interdisciplinary/Cross-Cutting Cluster integration

This survey was developed by Advance CTE in partnership with Indigo Education Company and is based on the National Career Clusters® Framework, a central organizing structure for available careers and for Career Technical Education (CTE) programs of study consisting of 14 Career Clusters.
