Leveraging Learner Voice in CTE: Empowering Learners, Enhancing CTE

Centering learner feedback, needs, and input is essential for fostering a welcoming and supportive career preparation system. Leveraging Learner Voice in CTE: Empowering Learners, Enhancing CTE highlights how states can meaningfully engage learners in Career Technical Education (CTE) through learner feedback, leadership opportunities, and collaboration. Explore the experiences and lessons learned from five states that participated in Advance CTE’s Leveraging Learner Voice to Strengthen CTE technical assistance (LVTA) cohort. This publication spotlights the journey of Colorado, Delaware, New Hampshire, Oregon, and Wisconsin and how they have leveraged promising strategies for meaningful learner engagement to ensure learners are active partners in shaping the future of education and career pathways.

Highlighting the process, achievements, and promising practices for replicating the five LVTA cohort states can help leaders across all levels and contexts explore practical guidance on meaningfully engaging learners in program improvement efforts, promoting equity within CTE programs, and enhancing learner experiences across the spectrum of CTE opportunities.
