In a digital age with endless distractions, capturing the attention of prospective Career Technical Education (CTE) learners with content they find engaging and relevant requires intentionality and creativity. Ensuring recruitment efforts are conducted and marketing materials are created with the input of the individuals they are trying to reach can increase their efficacy. To accomplish this, local CTE leaders may need state-level support in the form of resources and training to increase capacity and reach more learners through recruitment activities and outreach.

This resource shares insights that can assist state and local CTE leaders to: 

  • utilize strategies to effectively replicate and scale up local pilots; 
  • collect and act on feedback from learners on program recruitment; and
  • integrate learner voice and input using existing structures
