On July 31, 2018, the President signed the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V) into law, reauthorizing the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins IV). Perkins V contains many new and retained provisions that support the access, participation and success of special populations.
