This resource, created by Education Strategy Group (ESG), pulls together promising strategies for serving post-traditional learners utilizing a single comprehensive framework. The playbook provides a process that postsecondary leaders can use to reimagine their education systems to meet the needs of a very diverse adult learner population.
To best utilize the resource, state leaders should first complete a self-assessment examining the degree to which strategies have already been implemented and scaled and to prioritize the next steps within those strategies. Following the assessment, leaders can then reference several other documents provided in the playbook around five priority areas: accessibility, program change, operational change, data and partnerships.
Each piece of the playbook provides state leaders with the ability to harness lessons learned to achieve a more adult ready system of higher education.
