Capella University provides a thorough report on prior learning assessments (PLA) beginning with a brief history of the PLA while acknowledging the growing demand for crediting prior learning in light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. The report discusses the anatomy of a PLA including definitions of key components as well as specific outcomes for learners.
