School counselors are the most trusted sources of information for students and their families when considering education and career options. As such, it is important to understand all the educational pathways available to students, including career technical education (CTE). CTE can help set up students on a path to a successful high-demand, high-skill career. However, families do not have a full understanding of the various components and benefits of a high-quality CTE program of study along with CTE’s intersection with workforce demands and labor market information. Jenni Bradford, LPC – Jenni is a school counselor who helps students find hope by embracing their future through career development.  That passion has taken her from a fifteen year school counseling career serving Idaho students (PK-12), to a position at Idaho Career and Technical Education.  Jenni is working with a team of educators to create a state, CTE based, middle level, career development program called First Steps.  Jenni has worked in private practice and served as adjunct faculty for seven years.  She earned a Masters of Counseling with emphasis in school counseling from Idaho State University in 2003.
