Federal Policy and Advocacy
We represent the interests of our members at the national policy level with Congress, the Administration and other stakeholders who influence CTE-related policy. Lawmakers nationwide see us as a trusted source of information, analysis, and guidance, and trust that we are working toward an important goal.
Member-Focused Resources
Advance CTE we produces over a dozen reports, tools and resources, all available on our website and designed to meet each state where they are in their capacity to impact CTE policy and practice. Advance CTE also provides individualized research services for members, conducting surveys and customized research where needed. As a member, you have the opportunity, through surveys and other spaces, to provide input on the future direction of member supports, resources, federal policy recommendations and more.
Member Professional Development
Advance CTE provides a wide array of opportunities for members to collaborate and learn from their peers. Through communities of practice, affinity groups, shared solution working groups, monthly virtual learning opportunities, quarterly regional calls and more. members can lean into spaces that fit their state’s and personal professional development needs. Additionally, new State CTE Directors are invited to join the New State Director Institute, an annual, multi-workshop professional development opportunity to develop strategic, equity focused leadership and build community with CTE leaders. Advance CTE strives to build equitable spaces that are conducive to learning, growing, and thought partnership across our diverse membership.
Member Discounts
Members receive registration discounts on Advance CTE’s spring and fall convenings to provide an opportunity for state CTE leaders to learn from and build connections with each other, national experts and connected stakeholders.
Member Communications
Timely communication is one of our hallmarks as a membership organization. We’re always watching the horizon so we can quickly share news about critical issues and legislation impacting CTE and our members. Members receive a weekly roundup of our latest communication and federal policy news. Members also receive a monthly newsletter with a compilation of recent resources, initiative highlights, advocacy updates and upcoming events and opportunities for engagement and technical assistance.
