Dallas, Texas, is one of the six sites selected to participate in the New Skills ready network. This five-year initiative, launched by JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2020 with the support of Advance CTE and Education Strategy Group, aims to improve student completion of high-quality career pathways. In the second year of the initiative, the Dallas, Texas, New Skills ready network team established a lasting governance model and a new cross-sector steering committee. It also invested in a new middle school career exploration curriculum pilot, which will be scaled district-wide in the next school year, and launched awareness campaigns for regional IT and healthcare job and training opportunities.
