Tara Bordeaux was selected for the 15-member inaugural cohort of the Postsecondary State Career Technical Education (CTE) Leaders Fellowship at Advance CTE– Sponsored by ECMC Foundation. The 15-month national Fellowship strives to advance diversity state postsecondary Career Technical Education leadership through an intensive experience of workshops, coaching and a real-world project dedicated to build the knowledge and social capital to be a skilled, equity-minded leader.  Bordeaux, an award-winning documentary filmmaker and 2018 Texas Teacher of the Year, currently serves as the Director of the Viking Visual Cinematic Arts, Media, & Design program at Navarro Early College High School in Austin, Texas. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Film and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington.
