State policymakers often lack information necessary to measure key outcomes from workforce development programs. Dashboards — paper or web-based reports of common education and employment metrics — can answer basic questions that policymakers have about the performance of workforce programs and the system as a whole.
This report by the National Skills Coalition, developed through the State Workforce and Education Alignment Project (SWEAP), explains how states can create dashboards to help policymakers assess key outcomes across their state’s education and workforce programs.
