The annual State Policies Impacting Career Technical Education (CTE): Year in Review resource is released every February to report on developments in CTE-related legislation and other actions enacted during legislative sessions and through governors’ executive orders across the nation for the previous calendar year. The report examines how CTE and career-readiness policies are connected to education and workforce initiatives in states through 2025 state policy actions, including legislation, executive orders, and budget provisions that significantly altered funding.
