Closing gender representation gaps in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs is critical to ensure each learner feels welcome, is supported, and has the means to succeed in the career of their choice. This white paper explores gender gaps in enrollment in agriculture career pathways at Butte College in northern California. The author uses the Percentage Point Gap (PPG) equity tool to identify gender gaps among CTE participants enrolled in agriculture pathways to inform policy discussions and develop effective strategies for achieving gender parity.
